03, 26: From Sylvia Plath's "Daddy." Which applies to Morgana in interesting ways, I have to say.
12-17: The part of that spell I understood, which translates to "not to die, but to live forever and ever," or more literally, "forever unto eternity."
08, 10, 11, 20, 21: from Malory's Le Morte d'Arthur.
25: From "Mordred's Lullaby" by Heather Dale. It's my favorite Arthurian song, and in Merlin-verse, I think it applies better to Morgause and Morgana than Morgana and Mordred.
27: "The goodliest fellowship of famous knights whereof this world holds record." From Tennyson's "Death of Arthur."
29, 30, 34-40, 46, 47: Also Tennyson, both "The Death" and "The Coming of Arthur" from Idylls of the King. Describing the Lady of the Lake-- specifically, her arm.

Date: 2011-01-04 01:43 am (UTC)I was an English lit major, and now I'm actually doing medieval lit in grad school. Which I guess means I qualify as an avid literature buff as well. ;)
